Havens Harborside is the culmination of Chef Zach Sato’s determination, creativity, and vision, shaped during a time when resilience mattered more than ever. From island-famous meal kits to an award-winning takeout concept and the original Havens food truck, Chef Sato consistently pushed to create exceptional dining experiences that celebrated Maui’s bounty in inventive and unexpected ways. During COVID, he met future business partner Travis Mann, and together they envisioned the next chapter of Havens; one rooted in permanence, community, and a deep connection to place. That shared vision became Havens Harborside.
Set against Maalaea Harbor’s sweeping waterfront views, Havens Harborside pairs interactive, chef-driven experiences with a dedication to sustaining Maui’s people, culture, and environment. Sustainability and community are at the heart of the restaurant. From sourcing ingredients from local organic and regenerative farms to supporting young athletes across the island, Havens Harborside embodies a promise to nurture and protect Maui’s future, a promise Chef Sato made for his child, Haven, for whom the restaurant is named.
